Gel Overlay Breakage: Troubleshooting for Estheticians

Hi i'm an esthitician and i did a gel overlay about a week ago on a client with long natural nails, she can in today and magority or her nails have broken, wny did this happen, i have NEVER seen this before. i have been doing the gels now for about 2 years, help please

Dear Carla,
This is a strange problem, you mean the nails are broken? or the gel top coat is chipping off. If the nails are broken there must be another reason. If you gels are from a good brand it is not possible that this damage the nails at all.
