Effective Cleaning & Disinfection for Nail Brushes & Clippers to Prevent Fungus Spread

Question
What is the best way to clean a nail brush and nail clippers at home?

I am treating my toenail for fungus and want to make sure I don't spread it.

Answer
hi brigitta
in the salon we clean our metal tools etc with anti-bac soap and then spray them with a hospital grade disinfectant.
it is unlikely you will be able to buy this outside of a trade situation.
the best thing you can do is to keep your clippers and nail brush only for your use and no one else.
that will stop cross contamination.
however you need to clean them still so that the pathogens dont stay on them and re infect you.
the only long term solution with these problems is to keep your feet clean, dry and cool.
as fungal pathogens like a dark, warm and moist envoirment.
dont wear slippers indoors, if possible wear nothing on your feet when you r in doors.
only wear cotton socks where possible, and wash and dry them, especially between the toes twice a day.
this routine will work as well as any treatment you use.
continue with your treatment however, but give it the best situation to work for you.
good luck, my husband and son both suffer, so i know what it is like.
