Why is UV Gel Peeling Off French Manicure?

hi i am putting uv gel seal over a normal french polish to make the polish last longer but at the very end of the free edge the gel seal is peeling what would be the prob as i known it can be done. thanks denise

Unless the label specifically says that it's for use over nail polish, UV gel won't work over polish.  Gel will only stick to a rough surface.  I'm not aware of a finishing gel that can be used over polish, although I know of a few UV-dry top coats, but they come off with acetone along with the polish.

If you do have a product that is designed for use on polish, you might try brushing it along the edge of the nail, which would seal it.
