Artificial Nails: Which Type is Best for Healthy Nails?

Question
I have never had tips, acrylic, gel, solar or any artificial nails.  My nails look good and I believe are generally  healthy.  I love the french look, don't have a steady enough hand to do my own and when I go to the salon I'm lucky if they last 5 days.  The solar nails look awesome - will these artifical nails damage my healthy nails and which do I choose.

Answer
Donna,
You know that's a tough choice. Natural nails are a wonderful thing to have in my opinion especially if they are healthy! Your only issue is the polish lasting. And you are right Nail polish usually only lasts about a week. If you were to Get Gel nails your polish would last a good 2 weeks until you were in need of a fill. The only problem with that is your going to be getting fills every two weeks no matter what. As to where a manicure if you don't have time to go in... its not the end of the world.

The choice is really up to you. The Healthiest thing would be Natural, and second in line would be Gels. Forget the Acrylics.

Its not going to ruin your nails, if you ever decide to remove your Gel nails it would probably take you a good month to get your nails back to normal. Or if you choose to stay natural I can suggest you keep white nail polish at home to touch up the chips and keep adding coats of clear. For the Cost of Gel nails you can afford a manicure once a week for the same price!
