QuestionI was wondering how safe UV Gel Manicures are?? I am a little leary about it being that we protect ourselves from all UV light because of the harmfull effects, so how could putting our hand under that light be safe?
AnswerActually, we don't protect ourselves from ALL UV light rays-- as that would mean staying out of more light than vampires. All light emits UV rays, what you want to do is avoid OVER exposure.
The amount of UV exposure you get from the lights used for nails in salons is extremely minimal-- you actually get more UV exposure with your hands on your steering wheel while driving on a sunny day.
