I was wondering how safe are those UV light manicures?

I think you are asking about the UV gel enhancements.
There are a few UV lights with different wattages. There are 4W and 6W which are the most common. (Some companies call theirs 36W, but they are not, they are just 4 or 6 X the number of bulbs)
These lights are harmless. They will not hurt you or cause you to sunburn. The research I have done tells me that there is no cause for concern for melanoma either.
