Solar Nail Fill: What to Expect & Addressing Visible Marks
QuestionI had my first manicure not long ago. I chose solar nails in the french manicure. They were beautiful. Clear and smooth. When I had them filled, they did not look the same. You could see where they had been buffed or where the little grinder had sanded them down. When I asked about it, the manicurist said that they always look clear the first time and then you can see the marks under them after being filled. She said that most people don't notice it, maybe just the person who had their nails done, because they see them closer. There is a very marked difference and I am wondering if this is normal. She said that I would get used to it.
AnswerHi Lisa,
Unfortunately Solar nails are just plain old acrylic and acrylic yellows. There is nothing you can do about that. The lines you see could be two things first is called a fire line a reddish line made from the drill going too deep on your natural nail. This will only go away after it has fully grown out. The second is called lines of demarcation it is the lines left from the tech nipping the product or parts of the product that might have lifted and not been filed enough. Most people these days have been switching to gel nails they never yellow and a drill is not needed. Gel seems to be the most natural less damaging nails at this point.
look up LCN or EN Vougue nails to get some more info on gel.
I hope this helped!
