IBD Gel Nail Lifting Issues: Troubleshooting & Solutions

Question
Every time I apply the IBD products, following all steps, the treatment lifts after only 1-2 days. I have recently read a primer could be useful. Is the bonder step necessary after the primer, and does the primer need to be cured in a UV lamp?  Finally, could prescription meds be a factor in the lifting?

Answer
Hi Sharon.
I understand that you are having a lifting issues from an IBD Gel product.I do not use IBD products but I am a licensed nail tech for over 16yrs and the general technique is similar for most products. Lifting can come from many things from medications, improper application, to bad bulbs. I am not sure if you are trained and a licensed nail technician or not. I do not know what king of product you have on your hands as to whether it is a enhancement product or soak off gel polish(these do not need a primer. I'm sorry not to answer your question directly with a yes or no. If you are licensed I would definitely say to call IBD and speak with an educator and definitely take one of their classes to help you with is issue. In the case you are not licensed I am not sure how you got the product but you need to find some in your area that uses IBD and let them do your nails properly so you do not have lifting or even advise you to try another type of service or even product, they are trained to work with these products properly also so you don't get hurt with things like a primer. I wish you the best and hope that these suggestions will lead you in the right direction.
