Safe & Effective Semi-Permanent Eyelash Removal: Tips & Solutions

Question
Hi i recently had semi permanent eyelashes put on on sunday and today is wednesday and i want them off! i have tried "andrea lashfree removal", conditioner, and neosporin before i went to bed bc my lid was raw from pulling and rubbing and i figured since it was oiley and if i slept with it on they might loosen up a bit, i thought wrong and they still didnt budge. i have heard baby oil or olive oil works and im going to try it tonight. do you have other suggestions to get these suckers off?

Answer
Hi Shanea,

I am sorry that you are not enjoying your experience with the eyelash extensions. I have to ask were these lashes that you had applied individual lashes or cluster lashes? What is the problem that you are having with the lashes? I need to know that to best answer your question specifically. I have given you the answer to both possibilities that I think you could be experiencing.

If you had individual eyelash extensions applied. In order to get them off you are going to have to go back to where you had them applied. Each manufacturer has it's own adhesive remover, so not every adhesive remover will work on another and none of the products you have tried will take them off ( the product line that I work; with oil actually helps keep the lashes on!)and will only irritate your eyes by pulling on the lashes and could lead to lash loss if you are not careful.

Cluster lashes is another method that some salons are calling "eyelash extensions" although they really are not really considered eyelash extensions. Some salons are doing cluster lashes and using hair bonding glue to apply them and it is very hard to get the lashes off with anything. Again, I suggest going to the place that you had them applied and ask for them to remove them for you.
