Dealing with Post-Haircut Bumps: Causes and Treatment

Question
In relation to the question that was posted on 5-3-07 about getting bumps after son gets haircut. I wanted to know how do you treat the bumps for them to go away. My son receive the some on his forehead and in the back of his head. What treatment can be used?

Answer
Hey Renee did you write the initial question on May 3 07? Are you dealing with the same Barber? Well I would use a antibiotic ointment such as A&D. but first wash the affected area with an anti-bacteria soap, and even alcohol. Make sure you tell the Barber to not just clean but Disinfect all of his tools 10 mins. before he cuts your sons hair. What does he use to give your son an edge up, does he use a razor or trimmers or both? If he use a razor your son might have sensitive skin and if that is the case have the barber only use trimmers! Some people can not tolerate a razor on their skin I am one of them I will break out a day or two after, so I just use trimmers. But if the bumps are on his head then it must be the clippers. Hope this helps any more questions feel free to ask.
