What is the safest most economical way of melting sterling silver. approx 1000 grams
2 How can the alloy be removed to have 100% silver.

The safest and easiest way to achieve this is in a furnace with a crucible....
To make the silver pure then it needs to be refined and this takes time and chemicals. I've answered this question before so you should check previous pieces.
Nevertheless, if you haven't got this equipment then it may be cheaper to have it done by a professional refiner.
