QuestionHi. I have an engagement ring that needs to be resized. Its made with white gold. The ring is too big and needs to be smaller. I'm considering brining it to a jewelry shop to get this done. Is there going to be a noticeable "line" as to where the ring was cut? How much should I expect to pay so I don't get taken advantage of.

A good jeweller will be able to repair or resize your ring without you being able to tell.
As to whether you can see a line, my question to you is whether you can see one now? Or any other obvious joins?
The ring will be re-sized or repaired in exactly the same fashion as it was made.
Depending on the type of ring and setting - which I obviously haven't seen - and the amount that it needs to be shrunk, anywhere from $40 ~ $100.....
Its done by hand and with care, and it can tae some time.
