Vibro-Lapping for High-Gloss Polishing of Rocks & Petrified Wood

Question
I have a bunch of cut rocks,petrified wood and other kinds.They range from 1 to about 6 inches round and 1/8 inch thick.I am new at this and don't have a clue,but i do know a tumbler will break them.How do flat items get the high pro glow{shine}

Answer
Hi Scott,

They need to be vibro-lapped polished.  It is a large oscillating machine with polishing compound.  You put them in turn on the machine and let them run for days.  You can either have a rock shop do it for you or buy a machine.

I hope this gets you going in the right direction. Let me know if I can help you with any other questions you might have.

Good Luck,
