How to Start a Cameo Business: From Collection to Online Sales

Hello Rolfe,

I love cameos and am curious as to how one can eventually become a dealer in them, especially online. Does one just accumulate some and begin selling them on one's own website, or are there some more technical details involved?
I've seen them being sold on Ebay, but I'm not sure if I'd want to buy them unless I could somehow see that they've been appraised before I buy.
Does one have to be an appraiser,have a certain certification(s), or be a gemologist to sell cameos or become a dealer in them?

Im not an expert on cameos...first learn all you can...learn prices wholesale and retail..look on rbay to the "completed" sales this is what shows you what people are paying...just because someone lists a price does not meen its the value...I cant imagine you have to be certifiied...ask estate liquidaters where they learned about cameos..call GIA in carlsbad ca and ask if they have courses covering cameos..?
