Questioni have a jewellery with a M STAMPED,what does M MEAN?
AnswerMax, I frankly have no idea what the M means. This is not a quality mark of the metal and I simply do not try to research makers marks..like chasing a rabbit down a trail the rabbit knows and it disappears into the briars, leaving me with a walk back to where I started.
This is not a recognized mark in either British or American stamping for the metal quality. If perchance the item is of British hallmarking, with the several marks associated with the system, the M could be a date designation. These must be seen and compared to really know the accuracy.
