Identifying Gold Rings: Understanding 14K, .95, and Other Markings
QuestionHi I am not sure of a ring I bought it reads 14KA .95 THEN on the other side has 4 other numbers like 1833 is this a gold ring or a elctroplated? any help much appreciated. they said it was from the early 60's the only thing I could find was another ring for sale with the 14ka mark by andrews jewerely an antique thanks I hope I didnt get to ripped off..ardy

The marks mean nothing to me even though the 14K part seems to indicate gold - there is no way of knowing for sure until you get someone to test it for you.
There will be a fee for this, but at least then you will know for sure and can stop guessing. Get a written report to prove it is what you hope it is.
