Rhodium Plating on Gold Vermeil: Adhesion & Longevity

Hello!  I received a beautiful cuff bracelet that is plated in gold vermeil.  I'm not sure what the base metal is.  I rarely wear gold and would love it to APPEAR to be white gold or silver.  Would rhodium plating adhere well to the gold vermeil?  What would you suggest?  Thanks for your time!  Dede

I have not tried this as we do not deal in costume jewelry, however, I do not think it would last a long time, in addition rhodium application if done properly processes through several clean bath applications and the vermeil would wear off, if the base is silver, ask a jeweler in your area preferably someone with a shop on premise to polish off the plating now and perahps you will see what you are looking for under the existing plating....
