Old Mine Cut Diamond Appraisal: 18K Filigree Ring - VS Clarity

Question
I have an 18 K ring that is filagree that looks like it's placed on top of a ring
that resembles a "cage" It has what appears to me to be a VS old mine cut
diamond that is approximately K or L in color. It's in excellent shape with
almost no wear. I measured the stone and it's close to 5.9mm X 6mm. I have
no clue as to what the CT weight might be. It's square around the girdle but
the table is octagonal like a round stone. It has a cutlet on the bottom. It's tall
from the girdle to table in comparison to even an old european cut. The
pavillion appears to be proportionate. Can you guess what an approximate
CT weight for a stone of the above dimensions is?

Answer
Monique, K color is slightly yellowish where did you get this information on the color of the diamond? could it be P or Q in color is it Yellow and noticeable to the naked eye? how do you know its VS clarity? are you looking at it through a 10x loupe?
How did you measure the diamond? using a ruler or a millimeter guage? Im just trying to gather accuracy in your analysis and thereby giving you accurate feedback.
Can you take a picture and email it to me?
If all your calculations are accurate the diamond may be an Old Mine cut and if the CULET, which is the bottom portion of the diamond where all the facets of the pavillion meet is open and should be an Octagon shape....it can even be a rose cut diamond depending on the picture you send me I can determine the actual cut.
It may be close to a 1 carat diamond depending on the depth of the stone which you have not provided
all the best
