Jewelry Design Career Path: Education & GIA Insights

Hi I have earned a BA degree under finance/management. I have never taken a course in design before but i am very interested in Jewelry design. Can you instruct me what is the best way to approach the industry? Should i attend a graduate school for design? and attend GIA? or should i try applying to GIA directly? I want to become a jewelry design as a career or advance into management. Thank you very much.

I would call GIA and definately take their course either through their doorstep program or in residence.
Also depending on where you live or your ability to relocate, their are sone great schools that teach design such as Rhode Island School of Design- RISDI and Fashion Institute of Technology - FIT - New York.
