Question
Boucher Example
Hi - I'm wondering if you can tell me anything about this piece. I found it at
a yard sale and, curious about the "LeC" stamp thought I'd check it out online
but can find nothing except that perhaps "LeC" is Marcel Boucher's Le Couture
line. I've attached an image of a similar brooch, however mine has more
round stones, fewer rectangular stones - and the rectangular stones are in 4
alternating rows running lengthwise - one row clear stones, one row amber,
one row clear, etc. Do you have any ideas about how old this piece is or if it's
at all collectible? Thanks!
AnswerHello Patricia and thank you for your inquiry. You are right the LeC was a mark used by Boucher during, I believe the 1950's. It was a specialty high quality line. I imagine it would be considered collectible by any Boucher collector. It must be uncommon because I couldn't find many examples online or on ebay.com. Hope this helps !
