Heat Damage to Gemstones: Understanding Temperature Tolerance

Question
I need to know how hot precious and semi-precious stones can get before being damaged.
I would also like to know what temperature quartz(ROSE, RUTILATED, CITRINE, AMETHYST, ETC.) becomes molten?
I would really appreciate some help or to be pointed in the right direction.
Thank you!

Answer
I really am not an expert in this field of gems in terms of their
temperature tolerance... I'm sure each GeM has a different
temperature where it will break under heat...
for the most part I think Goldsmith's when repairing rings, take all the stones out to prevent them from cracking from the heat of a torch... you will have to look up
each stone to see its cracking temperature under heat... also as far as I know Rose citrine or quartz.. would never turn molten...
this would be more four lead or tin...
