Understanding 24KGF Gold Markings: Value & Authenticity

Hello, I have a necktie clip that I think may be worth something but am not sure. It has 24kgf engraved on the back and I was wondering if you know what that means and if it really is worth something.

Hi Chris, Unfortunately this is a Gold Filled piece of jewelry (gf) which is an application of a very thin layer of gold over a base metal of the manufacturers choice for durability. Its actual gold value would be less than a dollar but a nice useable item if you wear necties. Good luck.
