Elegant 1960s Saudi Arabian Opal & Ruby Cocktail Ring – 10k Gold with Vintage Design

I inherited a beautiful ring from a dear friend many years ago.  The ring is a 10k gold cocktail ring consisting of 8 - ..25 c oval rubies nestled in between gold leaves on the lowest row. The next higher row has 8 opals slightly larger than the rubies. The third higher row has 6 more round opals slightly smaller than the lower row and the top is finished off with a round opal the same size as the first row of opals lower down. The overall width of the ring is just under 1 inch and the overall width is just slightly over 1/2 inch. Other than the 10K marking there are no other markings.
In your opinion is this ring worth getting an appraisal on?

Well both rubies and opal can be very expensive stones...
I dont know much about this type of ring but I think if you spent some time on line and found a couple of apraisers it sure would be worth it...having said that I am guessing
just a general appraisel would be free or cost very little..maybe find a estate jewelry expert but always ask the cost before..your insurance company may also be able to help..
