Identifying Jewelry Mark 750 *504 VI: Gold & Gemstone Verification

Question
I have a piece of jewelry that appears to be gold with identification mark of 750 *504 VI. The gems appear to be Diamond
and Sapphire. Is there a place that I could get verification and value at?

Answer
Hello Sheila and thank you for your inquiry. The 750 could mean your ring is 18K gold. This was used for a time by both US and British jewelry makers. The other marks could refer to the designer and/or design #. You should take your ring to a jeweler or gemologist for verification of the metal content as well as the stones. Check with your local museum or antique shop for a referral to someone who can assist you.  Hope this helps and enjoy your jewelry !
