Question
art deco pendant
hi I have acquired a beautiful art deco design white metal pendant
I am enquiring as the markings on the back are hard to decipher
They are 950 and I think CIAT in a black panel
The pendant is in white and gold metal
Any help would be appreciated thankannmac
AnswerHello Ann and thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately I have not been able to identify the mark CIAT. The 950 as you probably already know means that the item is either better than sterling silver which is 925 or contains platinum. I have listed a site below that better describes this mark. Just click on it or copy and paste it into your browser address field and hit enter.

The CIAT may be foreign and you can compare foreign markings on the "World Hallmark" site. They have very good visuals of nearly every country.

Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance on this one but enjoy your beautiful pendant !
