Valuing Loose Gems: Where to Sell & Get an Estimate

My father gave me several loose gems and I am uncertain of the value. How do I find this and who buys loose gems?

hello; There are lots of jewelers who will buy loose gems. To get a fair value , the easiest way is to go on ebay and find a similar stone and look at the ones sold. It seems to be a decent indicator of market price.. Most jewelers will offer about half of that. If you don't know what they are, any jewler will tell you for free.
