Navigating Wedding Plans After Divorce: A Guide for Brides

Question
My parents are divorced living in seperate cities and both want me to have my wedding and reception in their city what can I do?

Answer
Hi Sara Divorce is a sticky situation and with your situation it is like a lose lose battle. There are a few points for you to consider. You didn't mention how far apart they lived or if either or both are paying or if either is living where you grew up or anything about your fiancee. If they are far apart and both will pay for a reception you can have two. That still doesn't solve your wedding though. I would also consider your fiancee and consider going where he would like it or lives. After all he is getting married too. The last point to consider is where you grew up and where the guest will be comming from. The last points can help you decide where to hold the wedding too.
If they live close by one another you can consider a neutral location.
I usually like to give more percise information but that is hard to do when you are dealing with feelings of family. I hope you can take these points to consider and arrive at a solution.
