Urgent Wedding Dress Search: October 18th - Need Help!

Question
My wedding is October 18. I need a dress by the 15th. I'm a "bridezilla" that must have it "her way" or there will be crying and/or knashing of teeth and what-not.
I've been doing the ebay thing. Had a super dress about to be custom made for me, but I lost my ebay account and was unable to speak to the seller/maker of the gown/ and thus they haven't even started making it, much less have it ready for me. (cry). My budget is set at 180...generous from an ebay POV. I'd say 200 max for amazing dress just my size. I'm about to cry! I just want a beautiful dream gown....in my size (cuz I can't have it altered quickly enough anyways), the old seller still has my money for the custom gown I never got(thanks paypal!). Where can I go for a gown under $200 that delivers quickly to the U.S and wont BS me? thank you

Answer
You can look up the seller's name and screen name in the search feature, but I would never ever have someone make an outfit for me unless I meet them. Plus also to view their work before handing them my money and even going as far as talking to past customers to know that I am not going to get jipped. I wouldnt take the bridzilla deal too far before you drive people away.

Ok since your budget is $200 maximum you would want to call David's bridal because you don't have a lot of time now to get a custom made dress and your wedding is almost 3 weeks away which doesnt leave you a lot of time. I would try to contact the seller again and request a refund of the money since they didnt begin work. Don't let them tell you that they can't give back the money because if they didnt start making the dress.

For future advice to any of your friends who are getting married suggest they go and get fitted for a gown with a dressmaker or shop in person so that they can see the actual person and have their correct contact information.Plus give yourself enough time for a custom made gown so if any mistakes or problems arise you can fix it in plenty of time. The website for David's Bridal is Davidsbridal.com and call the location closest to you and explain the situation and see if they can work within your budget and time frame and hopefully get something in place before the big day. David's Bridal has gowns from $99 to $600+ most places are willing to work with a bride's budget from small to elaborate.

But you should be able to get a dress in a few days if there's one in stock since custom dresses can take up to a couple months to make if you're working with a moderate budget. So give them a call and find out if they can work with your budget and time frame on getting a nice dress in almost such short notice. In the meantime while you're getting the dress situation straightened out get the small last minute stuff finished so you won't rack your nerves on getting the dress thing dealt with. David's should have something for your price and style range. I would track down the original seller for your money with their SN and if not contact Ebay and tell them they took money for services and goods and didnt provide the product for which you paid for. I hope everything works out for you to get you down the aisle in almost 3 weeks. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
