Metal Detectors & Pregnancy: Safety Concerns & How They Work

can i walk threw a meatal detector with it not hurting the baby. i was not sure if it takes xrays of your body or not and i know you cant have a xray done if you are preg. if you can write me back and tell me that would be great

VERY good question.  I have never really thought of this before.  Nor have I ever been asked.
Not knowing how a metal detector works I inlisted the help of my husband who informed me they work off magnetics. (makes sense now)  
So you should be safe to walk through them all you want.  No X-Rays involved.
