QuestionI am 20 years old. I have no children and my last menstral cycle was March 19, 2004 and my cycle is 26 days. My menstral cycle began on a friday. That same sunday I started using "Nuva Ring". The following day, it fell out. When my menstral cycle ended, which was on a tuesday, I began what appeared to be another menstral cycle which only lasted about 3 days. I have had intercourse around the time I ovulate. Is there a chance I can concieve or did this incident prevent that from happening?
AnswerWhen the NuvoRing fell out, did you reinsert it? If you did not reinsert it, you may have ovulated around April 1. If you did resinsert the ring, you would not have ovulated around April 1. If you did ovulated on April 1, you could only have conceived if you had sex on March 31, April 1,2,or 3. If so, a pregnancy test will not show a positive result until 14-21 dsys later, or around April 15-22.
