Insemination Timing & Ovulation: A 11 DPO Update

My husband has no sperm so we have been using a donor.  Our Dr. is closed on weekends, so my husband did both my insemination at home.  I received an HCG shot on Friday at 9:00 am at my Dr. office and had the inseminations at 4:00 am and 4:00 pm on Saturday.  My temperature on Sunday told me that I ovulated on Saturday.  Was this peak timing?  I am 11 DPO...and feel like AF is on her way...which makes me sad...although I hear that when you are pregnant that you get the same feelings as you would if you were just expecting your period...is this true?  Is it too early to take a pregnancy test?  Thank you for your time.

When I was pregnant I constantly felt like I was going to start so it was hard for me to get excited at first because I so felt like my period was coming, so yes that is very true.
You can take some test up to five days before your expected period.
