Delayed Period After Birth Control: What to Expect

I just currently got off of birthcontrol around mid June, and it is now the end of July and I have not had a menstrual cycle since I got off of the pill. I took a pregnancy test a week ago and was negative. Should I test again? Or is this a normal thing after getting off birthcontrol? If so, how long until my cycle should return to normal?

Hello Crystal. This is very common. You may not have regular periods for many months yet. Please do NOT try to get pregnancy until you have had three, normal periods in a ROW. Although you may be able to conceive before that, you may not be able to sustain the pregnancy due to hormone imbalances. Just be patient with your body while it normalizes.
