Side Effects of Stronger Birth Control Pills: Breast Tenderness & More

Hello,
I was the pill for a year when it stopped working and i was getting two periods a month. The doctor said i would need a diffrent brand, a stronger one. I just finished my first pack and have noticed my breast are very sore and tender. Could this be from the new stronger birth control?

Hi Bell,

It could be because of the additional hormones in a stronger birth control pill. But it could also be a symptom of pregnancy. I don't recommend hormonal birth control because of side effects and risks.
Is it possible that you could abstain from sex at this time of your life. Abstinence brings no worries about unintended pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases.
