Hi,

My last mensus date was on 24 th march 2004. how many days are needed exactly for my delivery? how is that calculation done? is it from the 24th march onwards? my doctor said my due date is december 30th? when i calculated the weeks, i found it before that.i have heard that 9 months and 7 days are needed for delivery. how is that calculated? pls help

A full pregnancy is 40 weeks from the first day of your last period. If your last period started on March 24, you are due on December 30. (Add seven days and subtract three months). A pregnancy is not 9 months, but rather it is ten lunar months (of 28 days each). You are now 20 weeks 3 days (or 5 months) pregnant.
