Persistent Pregnancy Symptoms Despite Negative Tests: What Could It Be?
QuestionI have had pregnancy symptoms for the last month or longer. I have taken 3 home pregnancy tests that have come out negative, as well as a urine test and a blood test from my doctor wich also came out negative. He did a bunch more bloodwork to see if it was something else. It all came back normal. I am about 12 weeks along and have the usual symptoms I usually get. I have four other children and have had 2 miscarrages. I can feel my stomach stretching and at times it feels as though there is something moving in my stomach. The other day I felt a little lump on my right side. I am 99% positive that I am pregnant. The problem is I had my tubes ties 3 years ago. would this be why my tests come out negative? I know it is possible to get pregnant after a tubal, but how common is it and do there tests also come out negative.
AnswerNormally pregnancy after a tubal doesn't effect the outcomes of pregnancy tests. The tests show hormonal levels which is in no way blocks out but a tubal. This is very odd, however since nothing is picking up a pregnancy. If you feel a lump you should definately get a 2nd opinion doctor. If it isn't pregnancy it could be a tumor or cyst or something of that nature. When I had my cyst I had the exact same signs as pregnancy. Good Luck and I hope I helped!
