Understanding Late Period & Abdominal Cramps: Potential Causes & What to Watch For

On one of my periods I was 3 weeks late but then I did come on my period and I had really bad stomach cramps. I usually get stomach cramps but I couldn't walk about much because it hurt so much. Since then my preiods have been very light which is unusual for me. PLease give me an indication of whathas or hasn't happened.

There is no reason to suspect that you were pregnant, unless a pregnancy test showed a positive result and then you bled. It appears that you merely had a late period (which was heavy with cramps) and then had light periods. I doubt that you were pregnant, but it will not affect you iin the future in any event. Thee is no way to determine if you were pregnant and miscarried or if you just had an abnormal period unless you took a pregnancy test. Certainly, if you believe that you may be pregnant now, take a pregnancy test and you will know for sure. It is uncommon to bleed if you are, indeed, pregnant.
