QuestionMy partner and I are unable to concieve a child. we have made the decision to artificialy insemiate with a known donor. what suggestions due you have? This procedure we want to do ourselves in the privacy of our bedroom. what equipment and method do you recommend and how can we be safe? what are the potential negative consequences or health risks involved? furthermore, how do you tell when the woman is ovulating? how can we prepare her body for pregnancy to increase our chances of an successful insemination (vitamins, diet, etc.)?
Answer www.babycenter.com can help alot with ovulation questions and such.
I don't know much about Artificial Insemination at home, so I can not help you there.
The main thing I would think is make sure things are sterile and that the "donor" is free of diseases, taking his word may not be good enough.
Good luck.
