Any time there is any bleeding after having reached menopause (no period for 12 months), the bleeding must be evaluated. The bleeding may be caused by a small polyp in the endometrium or cervix. It may be due to some hormonal imbalance. It may be due to some growth of the endometrium. It may, in some instances, be due to endometrial cancer.
