AnswerA normal menstrual cycle takes about 28 days. Day 1 is the first day of a period, day 14 is about the time of ovulation. If no pregnancy occurs, then you have your next period which is about day 28. This is also day 1 of the next cycle. If you become pregnant that cycle, you miss the next period and stop ovulating until the pregnancy is over. Your most fertile time is at ovulation and a couple of days preceeding and following it.
