Emergency Contraception: Understanding Morning-After Pill Use

Question
Hi,
My question is regarding a short term use of the morning after pill.
I am planning on having unprotected sex with my husband for 2 weeks. (He is in the military and will be coming to visit). I do not normally take birth control pill b/c he is normally away for 6 months at a time.

So my question is, can i take the morning after pill for 14 days or if not every day, then how about every third day?
We will be having sex every day.

Thanks for the help.

Answer
Dear Rume

No way. To get the maximum protection you should start taking the pill on the first day of your next cycle so that when you start having sex, you are already fully protected. Suppose that you will start having sex before your period starts, then you should take the pill in addition to another method such as the ring, diaphragm,or condom.

Wish you a good luck
