Pregnancy Symptoms & Negative Test: Possible Pregnancy?
QuestionHi I am 18 years old. I had sex on Aug 13 the last day of my period.(16 days ago) About 3 days ago I started to get light cramping and my breasts where sore around the side(by my arms only) they only hurt when i press on them on the sides. i took 2 pregnancy tests the ones that are 20 mIU/ml hCG. and they were both negative. could they still be wrong, that i could be pregnant?
AnswerWhen was the FIRST day of your last period, not the last day? If you miss your next period, wait an additional seven days and take another pregnancy test. If it is negative, you are definitely not pregnant. Normally, if you have a 28 day cycle (from the first day of your period until the first day of your next period) ovulation occurs on cycle day #14. YOu can only become pregnant if yoou have unprotected sex on cycle day #13, 14, 15, or 16 each month. I don't know when you started your period, but count from the FIRST day of your period and see which day was August 13. If it was prior to cycle day #13, you could not have become pregnant that early.
