Understanding Pregnancy Possibilities: Cycle Tracking & Conception
Questionhi i am 24 year old . i ladt had my period on the 21st of aug. i had unprotected sex on the 3rd and on the 4th of sept.. i just wanted some advice really.
AnswerIf you have a normal 28 day cycle (from the first day of your period until the first day of your next period) ovulation occurs on cycle day #14. YOu can ONLY become pregnant if you have unprotected sex on cycle day #13, 14, 15, or 16 each month. If your last period started on August 21, then you would have ovulated on September 3 and could have conceived if you had sex on September 2,3,4, or 5. If you did become pregnant on one of those days, a pregnancy test would not show a positive result until 14-21 days later. The best time to take a pregnancy test is seven days after missing your next period. Since you are due for your next period on September 17, if you do not get your period by then, wait an additional week and take a pegnancy test on September 24 and you will know for sure.
