Possible Pregnancy: What to Do When Your Period is Late

I've been taken my birth control(not everyday)but I have had unprotected sex a couple of times and my period is about a week late so could i be pregnant or do I need to wait a little longer before I take a pregnancy test

Usually a pregnancy test (first morning urine) will be positive around the time you miss a period, so I'd do one now.  Women occasionally miss periods on the pill also.  If the test is negative that's likely what has happened.  As long as the test is negative I'd continue taking the pill.
