Nausea, Spotting & Possible Pregnancy: What Should You Do?

Question
I have been very sick to my stomach for atleast three weeks now.  I had my period about two weeks ago.  When I was on my period I had unprotected sex.  everyone has been telling me that i'm pregenat, but I started spotting today.  I'm not due to have my period for about two more weeks.  I'm scared to take a pregnancy test because my & my boyfriend of two years recently broke up because of how moody & emotional I have been acting lately.  What should I do?

Answer
If you had your period two weeks ago, you probably are ovulating at this time. Often we see spotting at the time of ovulation. If you have a normal 28 day cycle, ovulation occurs on cycle day #14 and you can ONLY become pregnant if you have sex on cycle day #13, 14, 15, or 16. You could not have become pregnant if you had sex during your period. If you do not get your period in two weeks, wait an additional week and then take a pregnancy test. However, I really doubt that you are pregnant.
