Understanding UTI Symptoms: Is It Recurring or Something Else?
QuestionI was curious if I could possibly have a UTI. I have my first UTI about 2 months ago, was treated and all was well. I remember having to urinate more, I had the urge but not a lot came out and I always had a sharp pain afterwards. Now, for the past two days I noticed I have to urinate more, I have an urge to go but I always go a decent amount and I have not been consuming more liquids then usual. No pain or burning accompanies this and from what I can see it looks normal. My first concern was that it might be a system of pregnancy as I started the pill nearly 3 weeks ago, had unprotected sex but my bf did not ejaculate inside me since being on the Pill, and I have been consistant with the pill. I assumed that this would not be a symptom until later in a pregnancy anyways. Any advice?
AnswerIt's possible that you have a uti. The only way to now for sure would be to have a test called a "urine culture". Any urgent care center or doctor's office could send that test off for you.
It's also possible that you are producing more urine due to the effects of the pill. Sometimes it can act as a mild diuretic.
Pregnancy is always a possibility too. Even before ejaculation, some semen comes out. It's unlikely from what you have told me, but still possible.
