Birth Control and Pregnancy Risk: What to Do After Unprotected Sex

i am currently taking the birth control,i usually start on the fifth day of my period.ithis time i started it in the 6th day as my prescription took time to get transfered.i had an unprotected sex with my husband on the 7th day of my cycle is it possible that i might get pregnant?

There is always a chance you could get pregnant.  However, women can only get pregnant when the ovulate (usually 14 days after the 1st day of your last period).  So, it is unlikely that this would be the case.  I would advise you wait to see if you get your period.  If you don't, than take a home pregnancy test.  Otherwise, call your OB/GYN and have him/her send you for some bloodwork to confirm pregnancy.  Good luck!
