Early Pregnancy Bleeding & Misscarriage Concerns: Ultrasound Results
Questionwell i started bleeding all of a sudden but i didn't worry about it because i thought it would be only some spotting the day went on and i started getting heavy bleeding so that same day i went to the ER and they did an ultra sound am 10 weeks and when we were done the doctor told me the fetus was at 8 weeks had no heart beat and that i would probably have a miscarage. but i have no cramping or no symptoms of what a misscarage should be. is there still a chance my baby can be alive??? should i keep on taken my prenatal vitamins? i still haven't done a follow up check up i just want to wait till my regular check up date and see how the baby is doing is that good?
AnswerDear Cindy,
You absolutely have every right to wait until your next OB check-up date before doing anything differently. However, do start to prepare yourself for the probability that there was some type of issue which caused the fetus to stop developing, as well as the possibility that you may miscarry before then. Typically this is due to a chromosomal abnormality and not something you could have prevented.
I hope this has helped you and answered your question. I wish you well.
