We have thinking about getting pregnant. I am testing for ovulation these days. What is the best frequency to increase chances ?

Dear Rose,

I usually suggest that couples who are actively trying to conceive try having sex every other day (or at least every 3rd day) from cycle day 11 through cycle day 21 (Day 1 being the first day of your period). This allows for any variation in your ovulation day and also gives your partner's body time to rebuild his sperm stores. Obviously, if you are tracking ovulation, trying to have sex on your ovulation day will be important.
