is it possiable not to see the heart beat at this stage and the fetus be ok? thank you
Answer -
If we do not see a fetus and a fetal heartbeat at over 6 weeks from the first day of your period, it does not bode well for a normal pregnancy. I would repeat the sonogram in a week. If there is still no heartbeat, it is not a viable pregnancy.
AnswerAfter 6 weeks, we should be able to see a fetus and a fetal heartbeat on sonogram. Even if there is a fetus, if there is no fetal heartbeat after 6 weeks from the first day of your peeriod, it is called a missed abortion. I wouuld repeat the sonogram in a week, just to make sure.
