QuestionDoes ovulex really work and is it safe
AnswerHi Jamie :)
Well, Ovulex is a "natural fertility treatment" that is sold on the market today, without a prescription.
They guarentee that if you dont get pregnant within a year, they will refund your money. They also claim that when a woman takes this drug, it will increase their ovulation period to increase chances of pregnancy. However, this has not been proven, as of yet ..atleast I have not seen any literature as of yet, to back these claims up.
They say that this drug has no harmful side-effects. However, there are some side-effects that I know of, that are not serious, however can be bothersome. Nausia, and cramping seem to be the 2 major complaints. Some ladies take the medicine at night, to eleviate this. Some ladies have missed their periods, and others have become depressed, and suffered anxiety.
On the brighter side, some have stated that it has increased their labido significantly, and have alot more sex, which I guess will also increase your chances of getting pregnant.
They state that ouvulex will increase your chances of getting pregnant by 85 percent in the first 3 months. Again, this is a claim, and there is absolutely nothing concrete to back this up. I personally, do not know anyone who has become pregnant on this drug. And I do know of a few people, that have used it.
If you are considering taking this, keep in mind that this is a drug, even though they call it a natural suppliment. They claim to excempt the chances of multiple babies in pregnancy as well. All reputable fertility drugs, pose that risk, accept this one, which I find extremely suspicious. Again, its a claim, and there is no proof at all. And this is probably why, its sold without a prescription.
Like anything else, you have to be very careful, because this drug does have medicinal value.
Personally, If it were me, I would much rather get a drug such as chlomid, ect that is reputable, safe, and under the supervision of a physician. Fertility, is not something you would want to play with ..the affects could be disaterous, and you wouldnt want to pose any permanent damage.
Again, I dont know what is factual, or true about this drug because I have not seen anything concrete, to substanciate it.
I would definately speak to your doctor, and get his/her opinion first, before taking anything.
Hope this is of some help, and if you have any more questions please dont hesitate to ask :)
